Infinity Rising Presents the "To the Clouds" Update

On September 26, version Infinity Rising 0.4.5 was released under the name "To the Clouds", featuring free flight for non-racing ships and a new volumetric cloud system. The release adds tree felling and surface mining, a fullscreen first-person view, and gear that now affects defense and movement.

"Rift Guardians" roam the Solas region, and the new Season of Shadows sends players searching for hidden locations using photographic clues. The MMO open-world game continues to develop toward its alpha version. This release is aimed at the game's tester community, as the team continues work on the alpha version.

Until now, flying in Infinity Rising has been tied to racing. The new free flight system changes that. Players can take supported ships and lift them into the sky, with Nexus Aero terminals serving as the place to collect and store them.

Several non-racing ships now take to the air. The Atmos Juggernaut and Bubblejett Prima have already taken flight, and with this release the Core Dynamics Cirrus LX has joined the ship lineup.

The sky itself has also undergone significant changes. A new volumetric cloud system, updated lighting, and new atmospheric visual effects turn the clouds into something players can fly through rather than a flat backdrop. This effect gives those first flights into the air a much greater sense of scale.

What Is Infinity Rising?

Infinity Rising is an MMO open-world game, multiverse simulator, and sandbox from Cornucopias Technology. The action unfolds between Cornucopia, a skyborne state that has become humanity's new home, the ruined Earth below, and the worlds lying beyond it. Players travel between these worlds to explore, gather resources, craft items, build bases and land plots, and trade within a player-driven economy.

The combat system is focused on PvE, where players respond to rift-related events and threats tied to quantum phenomena. Racing is an integral part of the gameplay, with hoverbikes and ships playing an important role in player movement. Apartments in Hub City provide players with a more casual and creative space, and the game's pacing is designed so that every player can choose for themselves how to spend their time.

The game has its own RISE token, a public pool management dashboard is available on the official website, along with in-game resources and a shop. The game is free and available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with expansion to other platforms planned. Early access is handled through the Boarding Pass system, and the team gathers feedback from testers with each release on the way to alpha, beta, and public launch.

The "Season of Shadows" quest chain is already live, and a final reward awaits players who make it to the end by following the photographs.
