Meta Racing, a strategic card racing game on Solana, is shutting down. The team announced this on October 28, 2026, in a farewell letter to its community titled “Our Race Is Coming to an End”.
“Friends, today we share news that we really did not want to publish: the Meta Racing team is ceasing operations,” the team wrote.
The studio did not give a specific reason for this decision. Instead, the letter recalls the project’s goals and expresses gratitude to the players who supported it.
The most important part of the announcement is the deadline. Players must withdraw their assets by November 15, 2026. Before that date, they need to complete three steps:
Unlock pilots and other NFTs.
Claim staking rewards.
Transfer all their assets to their own wallet.
After November 15, any assets that have not been withdrawn will become inaccessible. Players who used pilots in staking or still own in-game items should act in advance to avoid losing access.
Farewell letter to players
In the letter, the team explained the game’s concept.
“Our team started with a simple dream: to create a blockchain game where strategy, calculation, and progression matter more than the fear of missing out and speculation,” the studio wrote.
The team expressed gratitude to its players for bringing this idea to life.
“Your garages, pilots, cards, victories, and defeats — that is the real Meta Racing,” the letter says.
It recalls how the community developed strategies, upgraded cars and pilots, competed together in streams, and helped improve the game by providing feedback.
“It has been a long and eventful journey, and we say goodbye not with sadness, but with gratitude,” the team added.
The letter ends with a hint of plans for the future, without revealing details:
“The dust on the track will settle, and something new will emerge. Until then, the Meta Racing team thanks you and says: “See you soon!”
