Polygon Labs has extended its Open Money Stack payment infrastructure to Solana, enabling enterprises to combine bank accounts and digital wallets, perform cross-network transfers and global payouts through a single integration.
The integration allows companies building applications on Solana to accept payments through supported banking and crypto channels, move funds between blockchain networks, and make payouts to customers or vendors in their preferred currencies.
Financial technology company Kira, which provides US banking services with stablecoin payment capabilities, was among the first clients to implement Solana through its platform.
The expansion lets companies access Polygon‘s payment infrastructure without migrating their existing products off Solana. Companies can use the full Open Money Stack service or select individual components that work alongside their current payment systems.
Polygon Foundation co-founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal said banks and fintech companies struggle to integrate crypto payments with the financial accounts and payment systems their customers already use.
“Adding Solana means more companies can grow on the network their customers choose and use Polygon to manage their money flows,” Nailwal said.
Polygon Open Money Stack connects Solana to banking services
With the new integration, companies can directly connect supported bank transfers, card payments, cash-handling services and crypto account funding options to products built on Solana.
Polygon Open Money Stack provides customer accounts and embedded wallets, allowing users to hold and transfer supported digital assets without needing to manage a separate crypto application.
Once funds enter the system, businesses can make payments between Solana and other supported blockchain networks, including Polygon, Ethereum, TRON and several Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchains.
The platform handles payment routing, asset conversion and transaction execution, while its payout infrastructure links crypto balances to supported banking, card, cash and electronic payment rails.
For example, a remittance company can receive dollars from a customer’s bank account, transfer USDC over Solana and arrange a bank payout to a recipient in another country.
Similarly, an online marketplace could accept stablecoin payments on Solana and distribute earnings to merchants via crypto wallets or supported local-currency payment services.
This integration follows Polygon’s earlier addition of TRON to Open Money Stack on October 8.
The TRON integration provided support for USDT deposits, wallet management and transfers between TRON and compatible blockchain networks via Polygon Trails.
Companies using this service can move supported assets between networks and convert them into other stablecoins without requiring customers to interact directly with blockchain bridges.
