On October 4, the Illuvium team will hold the grand final of its first tournament series, the Arena Challengers Series. Eight players will battle for the title, and the winner will be announced at the end of the broadcast.
"8 players. 1 champion," the team wrote in its announcement.
The final will begin at 19:00 UTC, which corresponds to 15:00 ET and 12:00 PT. The live broadcast will be hosted by SylenCasts.
The grand final will bring together the top 8 players from the Challengers Series. As the first tournament in this series, it will set the tone for what Illuvium positions as an ongoing competitive format.
Illuvium did not publish separate information about the Challengers series prize pool in its announcement. The finals will take place on the same day as the finals of the Taiga Boreal Event Tournament, a competition among the top 8 participants tied to the recently released Event Pass, with a prize pool of $500 paid in ILV tokens. First place pays out $200, and eighth place — $10. Premium Event Pass holders also receive the Taiga Boreal Challenger title thanks to this pass.
The finalists will compete under a meta that changed just days ago. The arena update 1.18.7 was released on October 1 and introduced a number of balance changes affecting some of the strongest characters.
