PERPTools raises $8 million in seed round

PERPTools has raised $8 million across two token-based funding rounds after its perpetuals trading platform recorded $240 million in trading volume during closed beta testing.

According to the announcement, the team behind DEXTools raised $3 million in a pre-seed round at a $30 million valuation, and then secured another $5 million at an $80 million valuation.

DEXTools Ventures and Orderly Network led the first funding round, which closed in December 2025 after fundraising began a month earlier. BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion and Shima Capital joined the seed round in early 2026.

PERPTools is building a decentralized perpetual futures trading platform that combines an exchange with autonomous AI-based trading agents and prediction markets. Its infrastructure uses Orderly Network's liquidity layer, and the connection to DEXTools gives the project access to an existing trading analytics platform used by millions of traders.

CEO Evgeny Tokarev said the team built its execution mechanism drawing on the experience of the roughly 30 million traders already using DEXTools, allowing users to move from market discovery to trade execution without leaving the broader ecosystem.

"With direct integration into the analytics platform and connection to Orderly's omnichannel engine, we solved the cold start problem before we even launched," said Tokarev. "The $240 million beta testing volume proves that by removing the barrier between trade discovery and execution, traders get the best possible experience".

PERPTools funding brings DEXTools and Orderly together

PERPTools said both funding rounds were structured around investors who could provide more than just capital.

DEXTools contributed its existing trading platform and user base to the project, while Orderly provides the underlying liquidity infrastructure used for perpetual trades. According to the company, the investors who joined the seed round have portfolios spanning consumer crypto products and the creator economy.

Orderly uses a multichain order book model that distributes liquidity across supported networks. Traders can access markets from different blockchains without having to manually move assets between networks, and orders are routed through a shared liquidity layer.

Orderly CEO and co-founder Ran Yi said that PERPTools is exactly the type of trading application the network's liquidity infrastructure was designed to support, since the company is entering the market with an existing user base.

The partnership predated the creation of the new platform. In September 2024, Orderly partnered with Google Cloud on AI-powered trading agents as part of a developer program focused on autonomous systems capable of executing trades using the liquidity layer.

Now PERPTools is applying a similar agentic model directly to a live perpetuals exchange.

DEXTools co-founder and CMO Frederick Fernandez said that users had been asking for the ability to trade directly from the analytics and token discovery tools they already use.

"PERPTools is the natural next step, where trading itself continues without leaving the company," said Fernandez.
